Job Description:
We are looking for a diligent and organized Storekeeper with experience in managing FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) packaged products. The role involves maintaining inventory, ensuring accurate stock levels, and ensuring smooth operations within our store or warehouse.
Responsibilities:
Inventory Management:
- Monitor stock levels and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Receive, inspect, and record incoming stock.
- Organize and store FMCG packaged products in designated areas.
Stock Control:
- Perform regular stock checks and audits.
- Report on stock levels and assist in preparing inventory audits.
Safety and Cleanliness:
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe store or warehouse environment.
- Follow safety guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Customer Service:
Assist customers or internal departments in locating and retrieving FMCG packaged products.
Handle customer inquiries regarding stock availability.
Documentation and Record Keeping:
Maintain proper documentation for goods receipt, dispatch, and storage.
Prepare and file necessary reports related to inventory and stock movement.
Collaborative Responsibilities:
Work closely with supervisors, store managers, and other departments to ensure efficient inventory management.
Skills & Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent. A degree in business, logistics, or a related field can be a plus.
Experience: 2-5 years of experience in stock management, inventory control, or a warehouse environment, particularly with FMCG packaged products, is preferred.
Skills:
Strong organizational skills.
Good understanding of inventory management systems and software.
Attention to detail.
Ability to work well with others in a team-oriented environment.
Physical stamina to handle inventory, including lifting and moving goods.
