Role Description The Store Manager role at Specsmakers is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai. The Store Manager oversees daily store operations, including staff scheduling, sales floor supervision, inventory control, and store upkeep. This role is responsible for driving sales performance, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, and maintaining brand standards in visual merchandising and service delivery. The Store Manager will train, coach, and mentor store team members, monitor key performance indicators, and implement retail loss prevention practices. The role also involves handling customer queries and escalations, coordinating with regional management, and supporting local marketing or promotional activities to enhance store visibility and customer engagement.
Qualifications
- Strong customer-focused skills, including Customer Satisfaction and Customer Service, with a track record of delivering consistent, high-quality experiences.
- Effective Communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication, active listening, and the ability to guide and motivate store teams.
- Proficiency in Store Management, including staff supervision, sales planning, inventory management, and adherence to operational processes.
- Knowledge of Retail Loss Prevention practices to minimize shrinkage, ensure compliance with policies, and maintain a secure store environment.
- Previous experience in retail, preferably in eyewear, fashion, or healthcare-related stores.
- Ability to work on-site in Chennai, including weekends and peak retail hours as required.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and basic numerical skills for handling sales reports and targets.
- Relevant education in business, retail management, or a related field is an advantage.
