Role Overview
We are seeking a meticulous, highly organized, and experienced Store Keeper to manage the inventory and receiving operations for our premier, high-profile club in South Mumbai.
As the custodian of the club’s assets, you will ensure seamless supply chain operations across multiple departments, including Food & Beverage (F&B), housekeeping, and administration. The ideal candidate will bring solid experience from a luxury hotel, club, or fine-dining hospitality background, combined with sharp proficiency in modern inventory management software.
Key Responsibilities
- Receiving & Inspection: Oversee the receipt of all incoming goods, verifying quantities, quality, expiry dates, and pricing against Purchase Orders (POs) and delivery challenges.
- Inventory Control: Maintain optimal stock levels, execute monthly/weekly stock audits, and flag slow-moving or near-expiry items to minimize wastage.
- Software Management: Log all daily receipts, issues, and returns into the inventory management software in real-time, ensuring absolute data accuracy.
- Storage & Hygiene: Organize the main stores (including dry storage, cold rooms, and non-food storage) using FIFO (First-In, First-Out) principles. Maintain strict hygiene and safety standards.
- Departmental Issuance: Coordinate seamlessly with department heads (Executive Chef, F&B Manager, Club Administrator) to issue materials based on approved requisitions.
- Vendor Coordination: Handle direct coordination with vendors regarding short-supplies, damages, or returns, and coordinate with the accounts team for smooth invoice processing.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of stable experience as a Store Keeper specifically within premium hotels, reputed clubs, or high-end hospitality sectors.
- Software Proficiency: Hands-on experience working with hospitality inventory and procurement systems (e.g., IDS Next, Materials Control, Opera, SAP, or similar ERP software). Strong Excel skills are highly valued.
- Location/Flexibility: Ability to easily commute to South Mumbai. Must be comfortable working in shifts aligned with hospitality operational hours.
- Skills: Strong analytical math skills for tracking discrepancies, sharp attention to detail, and robust physical stamina for handling stock inspections.
- Communication: Good command of spoken and written English, along with Hindi or Marathi, to effectively coordinate with both high-end management and local vendors.
