Key Responsibilities
1. Store Operations
- Manage day-to-day store activities, including receipt, storage, issue, and return of materials.
- Ensure all material movements are recorded in ERP/SAP before physical transactions.
- Maintain proper identification, binning, and labelling of all materials.
- Ensure proper housekeeping and 5S standards in the store.
2. Inventory Management
- Maintain optimum inventory levels to avoid stock-outs and excess inventory.
- Monitor minimum, maximum, reorder, and safety stock levels.
- Conduct daily monitoring of critical and fast-moving items.
- Identify slow-moving, non-moving, obsolete, and surplus inventory and submit reports.
3. Material Receipt
- Verify incoming materials against Purchase Orders, Delivery Challans, and Invoices.
- Coordinate quality inspection and Goods Receipt Note (GRN) preparation.
- Ensure proper unloading, counting, and storage of received materials.
4. Material Issue
- Issue materials only against approved material requisitions.
- Ensure FIFO/FEFO principles wherever applicable.
- Maintain complete traceability of issued materials.
5. Inventory Control
- Conduct daily, weekly, monthly, and annual stock verification.
- Investigate inventory variances and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure inventory accuracy of at least 98%.
6. ERP / SAP Management
- Perform all inventory transactions in SAP/ERP.
- Generate inventory reports and stock analysis.
- Maintain master data related to materials.
7. Documentation
- Maintain all store records including:
- GRNs
- Material Issue Slips
- Stock Registers
- Gate Passes
- Return Notes
- Transfer Notes
- Inventory Reports
8. Coordination
- Coordinate with:
- Procurement
- Production
- Maintenance
- Finance
- Quality
- Security
- Ensure timely availability of materials for uninterrupted plant operations.
9. Compliance
- Ensure compliance with company SOPs and audit requirements.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Ensure safe storage of hazardous and consumable materials.
10. Team Management
- Supervise store assistants and store executives.
- Allocate daily work and monitor productivity.
- Train team members on ERP, inventory control, safety, and SOPs.

Educational Qualification
- Graduate in any discipline.
- Diploma/Degree in Material Management, Supply Chain, or Stores Management preferred.
- Certification in SAP MM or Inventory Management is desirable.
Experience
- 5–10 years of experience in stores and inventory management in a manufacturing industry.
- Experience in steel, metal recycling, heavy engineering, automotive, or process industries will be preferred.
- Hands-on experience with SAP/ERP systems.
