About the Role
The Store Executive will be responsible for managing store and inventory operations at project site locations across India, ensuring efficient material handling and documentation.
Responsibilities
- Store & Inventory Management
- Maintain proper receipt, storage, preservation, and issuance of all materials at site stores.
- Ensure systematic stacking and identification of materials as per material categories.
- Monitor stock levels and maintain minimum inventory for critical construction materials.
- Conduct periodic physical verification of stock and reconcile with ERP/manual records.
- Material Receipt & Inspection
- Verify incoming materials against Purchase Orders, Delivery Challans, and Invoices.
- Coordinate with QA/QC and site engineers for material inspection and acceptance.
- Prepare Goods Receipt Notes (GRN) and maintain inward registers.
- Report shortages, damages, and discrepancies immediately to concerned departments.
- Material Issuance & Tracking
- Issue materials against approved material requisition slips.
- Maintain proper records of daily material consumption and balance stock.
- Track high-value items such as cables, valves, pumps, electrical panels, piping materials, cement, steel, etc.
- Prevent unauthorized issuance or misuse of materials.
- Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate store registers, stock ledgers, gate passes, and inventory records.
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly MIS reports related to stock movement and material consumption.
- Maintain documentation for audits and project billing requirements.
- Coordinate with accounts for invoice verification and material reconciliation.
- Site Coordination
- Coordinate with procurement team for material planning and timely replenishment.
- Support project execution team during material unloading and dispatch activities.
- Ensure proper housekeeping and safety practices within the store area.
- Asset & Tool Management
- Maintain records of tools, tackles, machinery, and returnable materials.
- Track issued tools/equipment and ensure proper return and accountability.
Qualifications
3-5 years of experience in site store operations for EPC / Infrastructure / STP / Civil construction projects.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of construction materials, inventory procedures, and store documentation.
- Experience in handling cement, steel, piping, electrical, mechanical, and civil materials.
- Basic knowledge of ERP systems, MS Excel, and inventory software.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently at remote construction sites.
