JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Summary:
We are looking for a Stores Executive to manage the flow of materials and components in our manufacturing facility. The Stores Executive will ensure the accurate receipt, storage, issuance, and dispatch of materials required for production, contributing to the efficient operation of our production processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Material Receipt:
· Oversee the receipt of all materials and components required for production, ensuring that quantities and quality match the purchase orders.
· Verify and inspect incoming materials for any damage or discrepancies and coordinate with the procurement team for any issues.
· Accurately record received materials in the inventory management system and ensure they are properly labelled and stored.
Issuance to Production:
· Manage the timely issuance of materials and components to the production department based on production schedules and requisitions.
· Maintain accurate records of materials issued, ensuring that production teams receive the correct quantities as needed.
· Monitor stock levels and notify the procurement team of any impending shortages to avoid production delays.
Dispatch of Materials:
· Coordinate and oversee the accurate dispatch of finished goods and other materials leaving the factory.
· Ensure that all dispatched materials are properly packed, labelled, and documented, adhering to company policies and customer requirements.
· Liaise with logistics and transport teams to ensure timely and efficient delivery of dispatched materials.
Inventory Management:
· Maintain accurate inventory records, regularly updating the ERP system with all transactions related to receipt, issuance, and dispatch of materials.
· Conduct regular stock checks and audits to ensure inventory accuracy and report any discrepancies to the Manager - Materials.
· Assist in the preparation of inventory reports and other documentation as required.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or certificate in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in stores or inventory management, preferably in the engineering or manufacturing sector.
- Basic knowledge of ERP systems (experience with [Specific ERP System] is a plus).
