STORE ASSOCIATE (STUDIO HOST)

ABOUT RACESIMS
RaceSims is a Chennai motorsport company built by people from real racing. Our founder has more than 14 years as a race engineer. At RaceSims Studio, anyone can drive a professional racing simulator by the session: first-timers, families, groups of friends, office teams and serious racers. We also run the RaceSims Academy, which offers driver training using real lap data, and we work with the Indian Esports Racing League. Our aim is simple: give every guest a safe, exciting first step into racing, and a path to go further.
THE ROLE
You are the first person our guests meet. You welcome every walk-in, help them choose the right session, get them set up in the car and make sure they leave wanting to come back. No racing knowledge needed. We will train you on everything.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
• Welcome walk-in guests, answer questions and recommend the right session or package
• Take bookings in person, by phone, on WhatsApp and through Instagram messages
• Seat guests in the simulator, adjust the seat and pedals, explain the controls and safety rules, and start their session on our studio system
• Help first-timers and children enjoy their first laps safely, with patience and encouragement
• Take payments (cash, UPI, card) and issue GST invoices
• Host birthday parties, friends' groups and corporate events
• Tell guests about longer sessions, the RaceSims Academy and hardware demo sessions
• Keep the studio spotless and every rig ready to race; report any fault to the technical team straight away
• Record every session and customer detail accurately in our system
• Open and close the studio, following our standard procedures
• Ask happy guests for reviews, and help capture photos and videos for our social media (with their consent)
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
• Some experience in a customer-facing role: retail store, café, restaurant, cinema, gaming zone, hotel front desk or similar. Freshers with the right attitude are welcome too.
• Friendly, confident and comfortable talking to all kinds of people: children, families, students and business groups
• Calm and helpful when it gets busy, especially on weekends
• Comfortable with technology (computers, tablets, payment apps)
• Reliable and punctual; able to work evenings and weekends, which are our busiest times
• [Fluent in Tamil and English; Hindi is a plus]
• A love of cars, F1 or gaming is a bonus, not a requirement

WORKING HOURS
The studio is open Tuesday to Sunday, 11:00 to 23:00. You will work rotating shifts [shift length and weekly off to be confirmed].
