Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Store Assistant based in Kolkata. The Fabric Store Assistant supports the day-to-day operations of the fabric store by managing fabric receipt, storage, and issuance. The role ensures proper handling of fabrics, accurate stock records, and timely supply to the production team.
Qualifications , Skills and Responsibilities
- 10th/12th pass or graduate. 1–3 years experience in garment/fabric store.
- Basic knowledge of fabrics and inventory. Basic Excel/ERP knowledge preferred.
- Attention to detail, Organization & teamwork , Basic record keeping.
- Receive and check fabrics (quantity, quality, shade, lot). Store fabrics properly (by type, color, lot)
- Ability to work under pressure, multitask, and show attention to detail
- Maintain basic stock records (manual/Excel/ERP).
- Work closely with store manager, production, and QA teams. Support urgent fabric requirements for production schedules.
