A Store Incharge in a manufacturing company
manages daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and issuing raw materials and finished goods. Key responsibilities include maintaining accurate inventory records (ERP/manual), conducting audits, ensuring material availability for production, and managing stock safety, security, and housekeeping.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Inventory Control: Manage raw materials, packing materials, and finished goods, maintaining optimal stock levels to prevent shortages.
- Logistics & Documentation: Receive incoming goods, inspect materials with Quality Assurance (QA), and prepare documentation for dispatches, such as delivery notes and Stock Transfer Notes (STN)
- Stock Management: Conduct regular physical stock verification (daily/monthly/annual) and reconcile with ERP system records.
- Production Support: Issue materials to production based on authorized requests and production plans.
- Safety & Housekeeping: Ensure proper storage, cleanliness, and safety compliance in the store area.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate logs of inventory movement, non-moving items, and scrap, and provide regular reports to management.
- Vendor Coordination: Coordinate with suppliers for timely deliveries and manage returns.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Business Management, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- Experience: Previous experience in a manufacturing inventory or warehouse role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and MS Office.
- Attributes: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, leadership abilities, and knowledge of safety regulations.
