QUALIFICATIONS:
1) K-5 Elementary Teacher Certification, ZA endorsement preferred
2) Highly qualified status to meet state and federal requirements.
3) Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop, implement, and adapt engaging lesson plans aligned with Michigan Standards and district curriculum guidelines to prepare students for Kindergarten and beyond.
- Create a structured, supportive classroom environment that promotes positive behavior and social-emotional growth.
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs, including students with IEPs and English language learners.
- Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments and maintain accurate records.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and support staff to enhance student learning.
- Integrate age-appropriate hands-on learning experiences into daily instruction.
- Maintain accurate, complete and correct records as required by law, district policy and administrative regulation
