OMS QA Engineer
QA Skills
Experience: 3-5 Years
- Strong experience in software testing life cycle (STLC) with hands-on exposure to IBM Sterling Order Management (Selling cloud version preferred); IBM Sterling Order Management Certification is a plus.
- Design, develop, and execute test cases/test scripts to validate configurations, customizations, and extensions built on the IBM Sterling Order Management platform.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing across Order Management workflows (order capture, fulfillment, inventory, shipment, returns, etc.).
- Support testing for a wide range of technology projects using Sterling OMS including patch/upgrade validation, configuration testing, and defect triage.
- Collaborate with the Order Management development team to review requirements, identify test scenarios, and ensure quality across releases.
- Experience testing Java-based extensions of Sterling OMS, along with Java/EE, Oracle, and Middleware-based integrations. Familiarity with IBM call center is an added advantage.
- Identify, log, track, and re-test bugs using tools like Jira, collaborating closely with OMS developers to drive resolution.
- Working knowledge of testing Sterling OMS integrations with enterprise applications (build/deployment validation, integration testing).
- Working knowledge of Micro-services and REST API testing (e.g., Postman, SoapUI).
- Familiarization with Kafka-based messaging/event validation.
- Good understanding of AI-driven testing approaches/tools (test case generation, automation acceleration, defect prediction).
- Strong analytical and documentation skills — able to write clear test plans, test cases, and defect reports.
