Job Title: StepWise Developer (Software Engineer) – Optum Platform
Experience: 6–8 Years
Location: Remote (Asset collection from Pune / Mumbai / Chennai / Bangalore)
Shift: 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM IST
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced StepWise Developer with expertise in the Optum StepWise platform to design, develop, and maintain enterprise-level quoting, rating, and workflow automation solutions.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Microsoft .NET technologies, database design, and system integrations across distributed environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain workflows and integrations using the StepWise platform
- Translate business requirements into scalable and efficient process flows
- Build and optimize data pipelines, API integrations, and event-driven processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver automation solutions
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance system performance and reliability
- Document workflows, configurations, and best practices
Technical Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain StepWise components:
- Rating services (quoting & pricing logic)
- Workflow automation services
- Web services (security, content, integrations)
- Work with ASP.NET applications and Windows services
- Design and manage SQL Server databases (configuration & transactional data)
- Implement integrations using APIs, ODBC, and enterprise systems
Required Skills
- Hands-on experience in StepWise development (Optum preferred)
- Strong expertise in:
- Microsoft .NET / ASP.NET
- Microsoft SQL Server & database design
- Advanced SQL (querying, optimization, performance tuning)
- Experience with REST & SOAP API integrations
- Advanced Excel skills for calculations and configurations
- Strong debugging and problem-solving abilities
Preferred Skills
- Experience in Healthcare / Insurance / Financial Services domains
- Knowledge of:
- Rating engines & quoting systems
- Underwriting workflows
- Event-driven architectures
- Experience with enterprise systems like Oracle, DB2, ODBC-based systems
- Performance tuning of enterprise applications
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Ability to work in cross-functional teams
- Detail-oriented with high quality standards
- Self-driven with strong multitasking ability
