Position Duties
The student assistant for Creative will support the development of visual and digital content for SFA Athletics. This role will assist across social media, video, photography, and graphic design to help tell the story of SFA Athletics, promote events, highlight student-athletes, and enhance the department’s brand. This position is ideal for a student interested in sports creative, digital media, storytelling, and content production.
QUALIFICATIONS
The minimum education required for admittance as a student at Stephen F. Austin State University.
No direct experience is required. Training and instruction will be provided.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Assist with the creation of content for social media platforms.
- Support video production needs, including filming, editing, and content capture.
- Assist with event and game day photography.
- Help design graphics for social media, marketing, recruiting, and promotional use.
- Capture content that highlights student-athletes, coaches, fans, and the game day environment.
- Assist with organizing, editing, and archiving creative assets.
- Support creative coverage of practices, games, events, and special projects.
- Help maintain brand consistency across creative materials.
- Collaborate with communications and marketing staff to produce content that supports departmental goals.
- Assist with brainstorming and executing creative storytelling ideas for SFA Athletics.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities or be able to explain and demonstrate that the individual can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Knowledge of, or ability to learn, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Premiere Pro.

Other Qualifications
A student must be enrolled in six or more semester hours to be eligible for student employment during the fall or spring semesters. To be eligible for student employment during the summer, a student must be enrolled in three or more semester hours or be registered for courses in the upcoming fall semester.
Student assistants may not hold any other type of position such as a graduate assistantship or temporary casual employment at the same time that they are employed as a student assistant.
