Position Duties
The student assistant for Marketing & Revenue Generation will support the planning and execution of initiatives designed to increase attendance, enhance the fan experience, and generate revenue for SFA Athletics. This role will assist with game day promotions, email marketing efforts, ticket sales support, and other revenue-generating activities. The position is ideal for a student interested in sports marketing, fan engagement, sales, and event operations.
QUALIFICATIONS
The minimum education required for admittance as a student at Stephen F. Austin State University.
No direct experience is required. Training and instruction will be provided.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Assists with game day marketing and fan engagement efforts for assigned sports.
- Helps execute in-game promotions, contests, giveaways, and other entertainment elements.
- Supports the creation and distribution of email marketing campaigns designed to drive attendance and revenue.
- Assists with ticket sales initiatives, group sales outreach, and promotional efforts.
- Helps with grassroots marketing and on-campus/community promotional activities.
- Supports revenue generation strategies through promotions, special offers, and sales activations.
- Assists in the setup and breakdown of marketing tables, promotional displays, and fan engagement areas.
- Provides game day operational support for external affairs events and initiatives.
- Assists with data tracking, campaign reporting, and other administrative tasks as assigned.
- Represents SFA Athletics in a professional and enthusiastic manner at events and promotion
NON-ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Other Qualifications
A student must be enrolled in six or more semester hours to be eligible for student employment during the fall or spring semesters. To be eligible for student employment during the summer, a student must be enrolled in three or more semester hours or be registered for courses in the upcoming fall semester.
Student assistants may not hold any other type of position such as a graduate assistantship or temporary casual employment at the same time that they are employed as a student assistant.
