Position Duties
This is an administrative position responsible for coordinating and administering campus card services for students, faculty, staff, and affiliates. Responsible for supporting integrated card-related operations across campus departments and ensuring accurate, secure, and efficient card system functionality. Works under close supervision, with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Reports to the Manager of Continuous Improvement – Auxiliary Services.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent is required. Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, graphic design, or a related field is preferred.
One year of related experience is required. Experience providing direct customer support is required. Experience working in an educational setting is preferred. Experience using graphic design software such as Adobe applications is preferred. Additional related education may substitute for required experience in accordance with Human Resources guidelines.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Oversees the daily production, distribution, replacement, and deactivation of university identification cards for students, faculty, staff, and affiliates.
- Serves as the primary point of contact for campus card-related inquiries, resolving issues related to access, accounts, and card functionality.
- Monitors and updates campus card systems and databases to ensure accuracy, security, and compliance with institutional and data privacy standards.
- Coordinates with campus departments including but not limited to Dining, Housing, Student Business Services, Library, and Information Technology to support integrated card services across university operations.
- Trains, schedules, and supervises student employees engaged in card services operations.
- Maintains standard operating procedures, tracks service metrics, supports reporting needs, and contributes to continuous process improvements within the Baker Pattillo Student Center.
NON-ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS- May support cross-functional initiatives within the Baker Pattillo Student Center as needed.
- May assist with special projects related to campus services or operational improvements.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

- Knowledge of, or the ability to learn, university policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of concepts related to graphic design and printing.
- Skill in using computer applications including spreadsheet, database, publication, graphic design, and word processing software.
- Skill in designing on a computer using software such as Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
- Ability to complete assignments accurately and with attention to detail.
- Ability to set priorities and complete assignments on time.
- Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with faculty, staff, students, and the general public.
- Ability to think conceptually and creatively.
- Ability to understand and follow instructions.
- Ability to work successfully both independently and as a member of a team.
- Ability to work effectively and patiently with students.
