Step Up Rehab is looking for a Director of Rehab(DOR) to oversee our facility's therapy department. Must be licensed as an OT, PT, SLP, COTA, or PTA
Director of Rehab Qualifications:
Program Management: Oversee the rehabilitation program for the facility, ensuring high-quality care and compliance with regulations
Staffing Oversight: Manage staffing levels and patient care metrics to align with clinical and operational needs
Policy Implementation: Drive the ongoing rollout of new policies and procedures to departmental staff, ensuring understanding and adherence
Performance Improvement: Actively engage in the facility’s performance improvement initiatives, contributing to overall quality enhancement
Marketing Participation: Collaborate in facility marketing activities to promote rehab services and achievements
Effective Communication: Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills, responding promptly to inquiries and issues
Patient Engagement: Maintain continuous communication with patients, clients, and team members to keep everyone informed and foster strong relationships
Productivity Management: Set and manage productivity standards to achieve clinical and operational goals effectively
Team Development: Evaluate team performance and provide counseling, facilitating professional growth and development
Regulatory Compliance: Review medical records to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, including Medicare and Medicaid requirements
Standard Implementation: Implement facility procedures that align with established standards and best practices
Attendance and Accountability: Consistently attend work and provide appropriate notice for scheduled time off
Knowledge of Reimbursement: Demonstrate thorough knowledge of Medicare and other reimbursement regulations, applying them consistently
Direct Patient Care: Deliver direct rehabilitation services in your area of expertise as needed
Facility Utilization: Ensure effective utilization and maintenance of rehabilitation spaces and equipment
Equipment Maintenance: Monitor the preventative maintenance program for department equipment and report issues to the appropriate personnel
Training and Orientation: Ensure comprehensive orientation for new staff and ongoing training on departmental procedures and safety practices
Billing Accuracy: Oversee the accuracy and reconciliation of billing data, ensuring compliance with deadlines
Financial Oversight: Review and monitor revenue and expenses, initiating action plans to meet or exceed budget goals
Recruitment and Mentorship: Actively participate in recruiting, hiring, and onboarding new staff, serving as a mentor and role model for team members
Documentation Review: Assess documentation practices for clarity, conciseness, and alignment with patient outcome goals
Team Coordination: Ensure departmental functions are communicated and coordinated effectively, fostering a compassionate and collaborative team environment
