Role Description The STEM and Robotics Coach will deliver engaging, hands-on sessions in robotics, coding, and STEM concepts to students at the STEMbotix studio in the Pune Division. This is a full-time, on-site role focused on planning and conducting classes, workshops, and project-based activities using educational robotics kits, programming tools, and related technologies. The coach will design lesson plans aligned with STEMbotix curricula, guide learners through competitions and challenges, support them in building and testing prototypes, and encourage problem-solving and teamwork. They will also collaborate with other educators to refine teaching materials, maintain classroom equipment, and provide feedback to students and families on progress and skill development. The role involves continuous learning to stay current with emerging STEM and robotics trends and integrating those insights into classroom activities.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in STEM education and related disciplines, with the ability to explain scientific and engineering concepts in an accessible way.
- Robotics skills, including experience with educational robotics platforms, sensors, controllers, and hardware troubleshooting.
- Programming skills in block-based environments and/or text-based languages commonly used in educational settings (e.g., Scratch, Python, or similar).
- Training and facilitation skills, with experience leading workshops or classes for school-age learners in group and individual settings.
- Effective communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication, active listening, and the ability to engage diverse learners.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Computer Science, Education, or a related field is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a classroom, foster a safe and inclusive learning environment, and support collaborative projects.
- Interest in emerging technologies such as AI, AR/VR, drones, and 3D printing, and willingness to continuously upskill.
- Prior experience in coaching, mentoring, or teaching in STEM or robotics programs is an advantage.
