Role Description
The STEM Activities Teacher will be responsible for planning and conducting engaging, hands-on STEM activities for students at the Muktangan Exploratory Science Center in Pune. This full-time, on-site role involves preparing lesson plans, conducting interactive workshops, and fostering a spirit of curiosity and exploration among learners. The teacher will work closely with both students and other educators to deliver experiential education that integrates science, technology, engineering, and mathematics in a collaborative and innovative environment. Additionally, the role will require contributing to teacher training programs, curriculum development, and educational initiatives conducted by the center.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Science, Education, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field is preferred
- Experience in Planning and curriculum development tailored to STEM education
- Skills to use Computers, Internet, Google Cloud, Google Drive, MS Office, AI tools - ChatGPT, Gemini, Canva etc
- Strong teaching and training abilities with a passion for science education
- Excellent communication skills (in English and Marathi) to engage effectively with students and educators
- Background in Education or a related field with an understanding of hands-on and inquiry-based teaching methods
- Ability to inspire and motivate young learners to explore scientific concepts
- Familiarity with facilitating hands-on workshops, educational events, and teacher training sessions is an advantage
- Enthusiasm for working in a collaborative, interdisciplinary, and innovative environment
