Core Purpose of Role

Stellarworld school is seeking professional counsellors who are adept at creating systems for change and at building relationships within the school community that enhance academic achievement and personal success. The school counsellor is required to support the social, emotional, and academic well-being of students. She/He will collaborate with school staff to help students succeed in all aspects of their day to day lives.

  • Work with school faculty and staff to develop plans for maintaining the well-being of individual students and of the student population as a whole

  • Provide mental health and behavioral counselling to students
  • Recognize and appropriately take care of individual students' socio-emotional challenges
  • Assist students in developing effective listening and communication skills to enhance academic success, build positive relationships, resolve conflicts, advocate for themselves, and become responsible twenty-first-century citizens.
