Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for Steel Welding Experts located in Kochi. The role involves performing precision welding and fabrication of stainless steel kitchen equipment and structures using approved welding techniques, tools, and safety procedures. Day-to-day tasks include reading and interpreting technical drawings, measuring and cutting materials, executing high-quality welds, and assembling finished products for commercial kitchens. The Steel Welding Expert will inspect welds for strength and quality, perform necessary repairs, and collaborate with design and production teams to ensure products meet specifications and industry standards. The role also includes maintaining equipment, adhering to safety and hygiene regulations, and supporting continuous improvement in fabrication processes.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Welding, with hands-on experience in stainless steel fabrication for commercial or industrial applications.
- Demonstrated skills in Arc Welding, TIG Welding, and MIG Welding, with the ability to select appropriate methods based on job requirements.
- Good understanding of Materials, especially stainless steel grades used in kitchen equipment, and their properties and handling techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and fabrication sketches accurately.
- Knowledge of workplace safety practices, use of PPE, and compliance with relevant fabrication and food-grade hygiene standards.
- Experience operating cutting, grinding, and finishing tools, and conducting quality checks on welds and fabricated components.
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in welding or metal fabrication is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented workshop environment.
