Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Steel Structural Draftsman role based in Delhi, India. The Steel Structural Draftsman will prepare detailed structural drawings and 3D models for offshore and marine projects, including steel frameworks, platforms, and support structures. The role involves interpreting engineering calculations and specifications, developing fabrication and installation drawings, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and client requirements. The position includes revising drawings based on engineering feedback, coordinating with design and analysis teams, and maintaining accurate documentation and drawing registers. The Steel Structural Draftsman will also collaborate closely with engineers and project managers to support timely, high-quality delivery of engineering packages.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong steel structural drafting skills using tools such as AutoCAD and SOLIDWORKS, with experience in preparing detailed fabrication and assembly drawings.
- Candidates should possess skills in interpreting structural engineering designs, including familiarity with offshore structural concepts and software outputs
- Candidates should possess skills in reading and understanding engineering specifications, standards, and material lists, and translating them into clear, accurate drawings.
- Candidates should possess skills in 2D and 3D modeling, layout planning, and drawing revision control to support multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
- Candidates should possess strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and capability to work within project deadlines and quality requirements.
- Diploma or degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or Marine Engineering, or a related discipline; prior experience in offshore, marine, or oil and gas projects is an advantage.
- Effective communication skills, ability to collaborate in an engineering environment on-site, and willingness to learn and work with advanced engineering software will be beneficial.
