Key Responsibilities
- Execute erection of steel bridge components (girders, trusses, decks) as per drawings and method statements
- Supervise site activities like launching, crane lifting, bolting, and alignment of steel structures
- Ensure proper handling and installation of fabricated steel components
- Coordinate with fabrication yard, design team, and project management for timely execution
- Maintain quality standards, tolerances, and inspection requirements
- Enforce safety protocols during heavy lifting and high-risk erection activities
- Monitor progress and prepare daily site reports
Requirements
- B.Tech/B.E. in Civil or Mechanical Engineering
- Experience in steel bridge or heavy structural erection projects
- Knowledge of erection techniques (launching girder, crane erection, incremental launching, etc.)
- Familiarity with drawings, QA/QC processes, and site safety norms
