About the role
State Street is a leading financial services provider partnering with institutional investors globally. They are seeking a Data Platform Engineering Intern to assist in building and enhancing data products, focusing on developing APIs and scripting database queries.
Responsibilities:
Develop REST API's in Python
Scripting DDL, DML and other database queries using PL/SQL as needed
Writing terraform code for deploying data engineering resources of various types
Working closely with the product owners, technical leads and project managers to ensure proper delivery of requirements for the platform
Qualification:
Currently enrolled in Bachelors/master's in computer science, Information Technology or similar field
Application development and automation using python
Familiarity with Terraform, Harness or other tools for managing and provisioning IaC
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Communication Skills: Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Familiarity with software development process, change management and project management
Knowledge of data technologies like Elasticsearch, OCI, Snowflake Agile methodologies and DevOps
Project management tools: JIRA, Confluence
Relational databases: Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar
Knowledge of working with AWS or Azure
Knowledge of security through TLS/ACL
OS: Linux, Windows, Unix(Solaris)
Experience with CI/CD Tools: Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Bitbucket.
Knowledge of Agile Methodologies: Understanding of Agile development methodologies like Scrum
Familiarity with Cloud Platforms- AWS, Azure
