About the role

We are hiring for Public Health Lead Poisoning Initiatives Project Manager. Reporting directly to the Environmental Health Section's Public Health Section Chief, this position will provide project management oversight to enact and conduct the new lead related DPH work and activities under Public Act 22-49, including contract oversight and federal funding oversight and implementation. This role will be fully funded via the American Recovery Plan Act (APRA). Provide project management oversight for the development, implementation, and coordination of Public Act 22-49 lead related duties and actions. Oversee contract deliverables and ensure tracking and review of programmatic data and local health department reimbursements. Direct all new lead initiatives under Public Act 22-49. Develop and manage the process to distribute, expend, and invest APRA federal funds according to the approved budget. Prepare and share federal funding and programmatic reports on APRA lead investments with applicable entities as necessary. Work with various stakeholders on the requirements of Public Act 22-49 and develop partnerships for future initiatives and grant opportunities including state, local, and regional agencies, and non-profit entities. Seek additional grant opportunities to fund additional local health work, as well as proactive housing work, to minimize lead exposure. Manage the programmatic oversight of DPH APRA funds for lead, and work with the DPH fiscal office to develop a process to distribute lead APRA funding to appropriate parties and ensure all expenses are appropriately tracked and reportable.
