The DES, Division of Child Support Services (DCSS) is seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Records Manager. This position will serve as the Division's primary point of contact for records management, ensuring timely and compliant implementation of applicable records management regulations.

This position may offer the ability to work remotely, within Arizona, based upon the department's business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.

Job Duties:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Manage, monitor, track, coordinate, and respond to all DES/DCSS public records requests.
- Lead complex, high-profile public records requests projects.
- Work closely with the DES Public Records Coordinator to ensure adherence to all confidentiality statutes and requirements.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in child support records.
- Coordinate the appropriate DCSS staff to assist with public records requests; compile records and support final determinations regarding document releases.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

Knowledge in:
- Comprehensive understanding of child support case management processes; Case management principles and techniques.
- Federal, State, and agency laws, regulations, rules, and policies governing the child support program.
- Applicability of State statutes and administrative rules for providing Department record requests.
- Applicability of federal and state regulations and rules concerning PII and FTI.
- Research methods.

Skills in:
- Customer service.
- Interpreting court orders and judgments to facilitate related records requests.
- Preparing administrative documents required for child support program-oriented activities.
- Written and verbal communication.
- Managing numerous requests simultaneously.

Ability to:
- Safeguard information and maintain confidentiality.
- Conduct research, gather information, and communicate effectively with diverse individuals, explain complex information, analyze information, identify issues, and develop solutions.
- Handle highly confidential documents and information.
- Review previous and existing procedures to identify improvements in addressing requests and assignments.
- Meet legally imposed deadlines.

Selective Preference(s):

The ideal candidate for this position will have:
- Strong business and/or technical writing abilities.
- Minimum of two (2) years of child support case management experience.

Pre-Employment Requirements:

- Successfully pass background and reference check; employment is contingent upon completion of the above-mentioned process and the Agency’s ability to reasonably accommodate any restrictions.
- Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card.
- If this position requires driving or the use of a vehicle as an essential function of the job to conduct State business, then the following requirements apply: Driver’s License Requirements.

Retirement:

State employees are required to participate in the Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS), the State sponsored retirement contribution plan and the Long-Term Disability (LTD) program after a 27-week waiting period. The ASRS defined benefit plan provides for life-long income upon retirement. You will also have the option to participate in a voluntary deferred compensation program to take advantage of tax-deferred retirement investments.
