Role Description The State Head: Sales (BH&JH) is a full-time, on-site role based in Patna, responsible for driving sales growth and market expansion across Bihar and Jharkhand. This role oversees state-level sales strategy, including planning, forecasting, and execution to achieve revenue and penetration targets for India LEARN’s pre-primary curriculum solutions. The State Head will lead and mentor a regional sales team, set performance goals, monitor field activities, and ensure effective coverage of schools, institutions, and key partners. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing key accounts, building strong relationships with school leaders and decision-makers, conducting product presentations and negotiations, and ensuring timely closures and renewals. The role also involves coordinating with academic, operations, and marketing teams to support implementation, gather market feedback, and refine go-to-market approaches in alignment with organizational objectives.
Qualifications
- Strong Sales and Sales Management skills, with a track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets in education or related sectors.
- Proficiency in Account Management, including relationship-building, retention, and expansion within key schools and institutional partners.
- Team Management capabilities, including recruiting, coaching, and performance management of a geographically distributed sales team.
- Demonstrated Analytical Skills to interpret sales data, market trends, and pipeline metrics, and to translate insights into actionable plans.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education, Marketing, or a related field; a postgraduate degree (MBA or equivalent) is an advantage.
- Experience in K–12 or early childhood education solutions, edtech, or curriculum sales is highly preferred.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills in English and relevant regional languages.
- Ability to work on-site in Patna with frequent travel across Bihar and Jharkhand; valid willingness and eligibility to travel as required.
- High level of ownership, ethical conduct, and customer-centric mindset, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions.
