State Head – Motor Claims: Driving Operational Excellence & Strategic Growth

Position Overview:
As a State Head – Motor Claims, you will be responsible for overseeing claims operations within your designated state, ensuring efficiency in claims processing while managing relationships with OEMs, dealers, and workshops. The role requires strong leadership, problem-solving ability, and a strategic mindset to optimize workflow, handle escalations, and support collaboration with sales teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Relationship Management & Industry Engagement:
- Establish and maintain strong partnerships with OEMs, dealers, and workshops.
- Prioritize collaborations based on high-volume business potential.
- Conduct at least 20 workshop visits per month to collect feedback, identify gaps, and address high ageing/liability claims.
Turnaround Time (TAT) Optimization:
- Maintain FNOL (First Notice of Loss) to VRO (Vehicle Repair Order) release TAT for all claims within the assigned region.
- Ensure timely processing and workflow efficiency in claims handling.
Productivity & Process Enhancement:
- Drive performance in line with company standards and benchmarks.
- Implement process improvements and risk mitigation strategies.
Review & Escalation Management:
- Ensure all OFR (Operational & Financial Review) findings are acted upon with corrective measures.
- Address escalations from workshops and social media efficiently.
Cross-Team Collaboration:
- Regularly review motor claims functions with business heads and ensure alignment with company objectives.
- Monitor claims team performance and maintain clear communication channels.
- Advocate for team well-being, addressing disconnects if any.
- Gather partner feedback periodically to drive continuous improvements.
People Management & Leadership:
- Oversee hiring, manage attrition rates, and ensure proper training of team members.
- Develop talent within the claims function to maintain high-performance standards.
Requirements (Experience & Education):
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Diploma / BTech in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering.
- Preferably supplemented by Business Administration or Management studies.
Technical & Behavioral Skills:
Technology Proficiency:
- Familiarity with claims management software, CRM tools, and video conferencing applications like Digit Meet.
Leadership & Strategic Thinking:
- Ability to manage teams, drive efficiency, and ensure workflow optimization.
Communication & Problem-Solving:
- Strong interpersonal skills to foster relationships and resolve escalations effectively.
Attention to Detail & Proactive Approach:
- Ensuring precision in claims processing and operational workflows.
