Charted Accountant Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Chartered Accountant to join our Finance Department. The ideal candidate will oversee day-to-day accounting functions, ensure rigorous tax compliance (GST/TDS), and contribute to the preparation of accurate financial statements. You will play a key role in the month-end closing process and coordinate with internal and external auditors to ensure seamless financial operations.
Key Responsibilities (KRAs)
- Financial Reporting & Month-End Closing
- Prepare and finalize monthly, quarterly, and annual standalone financial statements in accordance with Ind AS / AS.
- Manage the Month-End Closing (MEC) process, ensuring all accruals, prepayments, and journal entries are posted accurately.
- Perform detailed Bank Reconciliation Statements (BRS) and Inter-company reconciliations.
- Taxation & Regulatory Compliance
- Direct Tax: Ensure timely payment of TDS/TCS, filing of quarterly returns, and assistance in Income Tax scrutiny/audits.
- Indirect Tax: Manage GST compliance, including monthly GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B filings, and reconciliation of GSTR-2A/2B with the purchase register.
- Stay updated on the latest amendments in the Finance Act and ensure 100% statutory adherence.
- Audit & Internal Controls
- Act as the primary point of contact for Statutory and Internal Auditors, providing necessary schedules and resolving queries.
- Maintain and strengthen Internal Financial Controls (IFC) to prevent leakages and ensure data integrity.
- Conduct periodic physical verification of fixed assets and inventory.
- Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
- Assist the Finance Head in budget preparation and variance analysis (Actual vs. Budgeted).
- Monitor Cash Flow movements and assist in working capital management.
- Prepare MIS reports for management, highlighting key financial trends and cost-saving opportunities.
Technical Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Must be a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA).
- Software: Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or Tally Prime) and advanced MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Compliance: Deep understanding of GST laws, TDS provisions, and Companies Act 2013.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking, ability to meet strict deadlines, and clear communication skills for inter-departmental coordination.
