Role Description
The Startup Mentor role at BLACKBULL LAW HOUSE is a full-time, on-site position based in Delhi, India. As a Startup Mentor, you will provide strategic guidance to new and growing businesses, offer tailored business planning and mentoring, and coach startup teams to achieve growth and success. You will work closely with startups to develop actionable strategies, assist with financial planning, and guide sales initiatives to increase revenue and market reach. This role involves fostering the skills, confidence, and structure that startups need to thrive in a competitive business landscape.
Blackbull Chamber is seeking an experienced Startup Mentor & Advisor with a strong track record in fundraising and capital development. The role involves guiding startups and internal projects on market positioning, investor outreach, and successful capital raising strategies. This is a high-impact, performance-driven position aligned with long-term value creation through equity participation and revenue sharing.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and advise on fundraising strategies, including equity, debt, and hybrid instruments
Develop and execute investor outreach plans targeting HNIs, VCs, PEs, family offices, and financial institutions
Mentor startups on business models, market entry, scalability, and revenue optimization
Prepare and refine pitch decks, financial models, and investment documentation
Structure deals, negotiate terms, and support closure of funding transactions
Identify strategic partnerships and growth opportunities across sectors
Provide ongoing advisory for capital planning and expansion strategies
Eligibility Criteria:
Minimum 8+ years of proven experience in fundraising, capital development, or investment advisory
Demonstrated success in raising funds through private or institutional channels
Strong network of investors, financial institutions, and strategic partners
Deep understanding of startup ecosystem, valuation, and deal structuring
Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills
Compensation Structure:
Equity participation in projects/startups
Revenue sharing based on successful transactions and outcomes
No fixed salary; compensation strictly linked to performance and results
Additional Notes:
Candidates without relevant fundraising experience should not apply
This role is suited for professionals with a strong execution mindset and existing investor network
Engagement may be project-based or long-term depending on performance and contribution
Qualifications
- Proven experience in Business Planning and crafting strategic growth frameworks
- Ability to Mentor and Coach teams to help them meet their business goals
- Strong understanding of Finance with expertise in budgeting and financial forecasting
- Practical experience in Sales processes and business development strategies
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in an on-site team environment
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field is a plus
- Experience working with or founding startups is highly desirable
