STRATEGY In Standard Chartered Bank's Corporate and Investment Bank (CIB), we aim to be digital-first and data-driven, delivering enhanced client experiences, driving new wallet share and realizing untapped client value and market opportunities. Part of CIB's Digital Channel Solutions (DCS), we are building a complete end to end, digital first client journey from onboarding, transacting to servicing and reporting. We are passionate about developing and delivering Best in Class digital client experience, delivered through consistent, well designed, contextual user journeys across web, desktop and mobile As Product Owner you will be responsible for helping shape the product strategy and deliver meaningful outcomes. You will be tasked in executing the roadmap through disciplined product development, ensuring delivery, collaboration, and alignment with CIB business and technology partners BUSINESS Align with the business heads to understand their vision and strategy Empathise with our clients, to understand their core needs and jobs to be done Understand market and competitor dynamics, to ensure our products and features remain competitive and compliant Work with colleagues from Design, Insights, Data and Technology to devise creative solutions that address these needs Help prioritise and deliver these solutions according to Agile practises Help monitor success and iterate where necessary PROCESSES Responsible for ensuring appropriate frameworks and operational infrastructures are in place to enable the business processes to be efficient and compliant with internal policies, procedures, codes and applicable external laws and regulations. Ensure tight collaboration with Risk and Control, Compliance, Security and other areas to prevent any issues related to the digital channel access by external and internal clients. Responsible for working with the Group functions to ensure appropriate adherence to principles and policies to protect the bank and its clients. The individual plays an essential role in helping us embed Agile product development and Human Centred Design practices Establish processes which are aligned with the business and operational requirements and in line with the relevant product management responsibility and accountability within the executive teams PEOPLE & TALENT Help build the appropriate culture and values. Set appropriate tone and expectations amongst colleagues and work in collaboration with risk and control partners. Contribute to a culture of collaboration, especially with the business lines as internal customers and with a view to increasing ultimate customer satisfaction and NPS. Ensure active communication of vision, priorities and progress to the business to foster engagement, awareness and motivation. RISK MANAGEMENT Adherence to all Group Policies and relevant legislation covering credit, operational, reputational risk among others across all asset classes and associated post-trade processes Commitment and adherence to Group Code of Conduct Ensure product development aligns to internal governance frameworks that sets out the requirements for the design, implementation, and maintenance of data solutions. Where material changes are made to existing data solutions, ensure compliance to process change impact assessment and technology change impact assessments are completed. GOVERNANCE Contributes to the assessment of the Group's arrangements to deliver effective governance, oversight, and controls in the business and, if necessary, oversee changes in these areas Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework, in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role. Willingness to 'speak up' in the event of any realized or perceived breach of group conduct rules or laws by colleagues Willingness to work with any local regulators in an open and cooperative manner. REGULATORY & BUSINESS CONDUCT Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group's Values and Code of Conduct. Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct. Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
