Your Role

As a founding Senior AI/LLM Engineer on our innovative Mission Control team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technical direction of our products. Your solutions will transform Staffbase customers into strategic storytellers and help measure impact of their communications. You will drive the development of scalable, robust AI-enabled systems that redefine customer's experiences.

What you'll be doing

• Build & Deploy AI Solutions: Build and maintain scalable, secure, and reliable AI/ML pipelines for processing large volumes of textual data. Work with orchestration tools (e.g., Dagster) to manage complex data workflows.
• Enhance & Optimize: Leverage APIs, vector databases, and prompt engineering to improve system performance and efficiency.
• Collaborate & Innovate: Work cross-functionally with product, design, and engineering teams to create user-centric, AI-driven solutions.
• Experiment & Learn: Run experiments, embrace fast failures, and iterate quickly for continuous product improvement.
• Mentor & Grow: Share knowledge, support team growth, and stay ahead of AI trends to drive innovation.
  
  

What you need to be successful

• 4+ years of experience in machine learning, NLP, recommendation systems, RAG, conversational agents or other AI-driven applications
• Experience working in a product team in a software development environment
• Proven experience leading ML projects, making strategic technical decisions, and mentoring engineers
• Experience building and deploying ML models in cloud environments, utilizing containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with MLOps best practices, model monitoring, and model versioning
• Good to have understanding of data engineering concepts and workflow
• Strong product-oriented thinking with a deep understanding of customer needs and domain-specific challenges.
• Strong programming in and engineering skills, with the ability to design, build, and maintain scalable AI systems.
• Clear, effective communication skills, with the ability to translate complex AI concepts into practical, actionable solutions for cross-functional teams.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
