Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru for a Staff Writer. The Staff Writer will be tasked with researching, interviewing, and writing compelling articles covering a variety of topics relevant to Bengaluru's culture and community. Responsibilities include brainstorming fresh story ideas, creating content for both print and digital platforms, editing and proofreading writing for accuracy, and collaborating with team members to meet publishing deadlines. An integral part of the team, the Staff Writer will also attend local events and maintain a pulse on the latest happenings in the city.
Qualifications- Exceptional Writing, Creative Writing, and Web Content Writing skills
- Strong Research and Interviewing skills to explore and report impactful stories
- Proficiency in Editing and Proofreading to ensure high-quality content
- A good understanding of Digital Media, Content Creation, and storytelling for both print and online audiences
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team in a dynamic environment
- Deep interest in and understanding of Bengaluru's culture, lifestyle, and trends
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, English, or a related field
- Freshers are highly encouraged to apply; previous internship experience in writing, journalism, or familiarity with urban topics is a plus
