Key responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to patients including monitoring health conditions and assisting with daily activities.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety during treatment and recovery.
- Check and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration.
- Observe patient progress and report any changes to physicians.
- Administer prescribed medications, injections, and IV fluids.
- Assist doctors during medical procedures and treatments.
- Document patient medical history, treatments, and progress accurately.
- Maintain nursing notes and medical records.
- Prepare patients for surgeries, diagnostic tests, and examinations.
- Provide post-operative care and monitor recovery.
- Educate patients and families about treatment plans, medications, and health management.
- Provide guidance on post-discharge care.
- Follow strict hygiene and infection control protocols.
- Ensure medical equipment and patient areas are clean and safe.
- Work closely with doctors, specialists, and other healthcare staff to deliver quality patient care.
Qualification
- Diploma or Degree in Nursing (GNM / BSc Nursing)
- Registration with State Nursing Council or Indian Nursing Council
- Clinical experience in hospital or healthcare setting preferred
