Role Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled Staff Engineer with deep expertise in distributed systems and backend engineering. This role involves driving end-to-end delivery across architecture, development, SRE, and DevOps, while working closely with stakeholders and clients in high-impact environments.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing scalable systems, leading incident management, and ensuring high system reliability in a microservices-driven ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
Architecture & System Design
- Design and architect scalable distributed systems across multiple services
- Create detailed technical design documents including trade-offs and integration patterns
- Collaborate with architects and principal engineers
- Ensure systems are built with high availability, disaster recovery, and fault tolerance
Technical Leadership & Delivery
- Own end-to-end delivery from planning to production
- Make critical technical decisions impacting business outcomes
- Provide technical mentorship and influence engineering direction
Incident Management & Reliability
- Lead incident triage across distributed systems
- Drive root cause analysis (RCA) and implement long-term fixes
- Ensure system stability and performance
Client & Stakeholder Communication
- Act as the technical point of contact during escalations
- Communicate complex issues clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Prepare structured RCA reports
DevOps / SRE
- Drive CI/CD best practices and automation
- Ensure high uptime, reliability, and performance
AI-Assisted Engineering
- Leverage AI tools for development, debugging, and system optimization
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong experience in Java and backend development
- Expertise in microservices and distributed systems
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS / GCP / Azure)
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Experience designing systems for high availability and disaster recovery
- Proven ability in incident management and RCA
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills with stakeholder-facing experience
- Self-driven, proactive, and comfortable working in fast-paced environments
Nice to Have
- Experience in large-scale enterprise environments
- Exposure to AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Copilot, Cursor)
- Prior client-facing engineering experience
