Role Description
We are looking for a Staff Engineer - Backend to join our team in Bengaluru. This is a full-time, on-site role where you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to architect solutions, optimize system performance, and ensure the delivery of high-quality, maintainable code. Key responsibilities also include troubleshooting, debugging, and implementing secure, high-performance APIs to support core product features.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in backend programming languages such as Java, Python, or Node.js
- Experience with database management systems including SQL and NoSQL (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB)
- Knowledge of RESTful API design and development, as well as microservices architecture
- Proficiency in cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure, and containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control systems (e.g., Git), and deployment automation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to performance optimization and scalability
- Leadership experience or advanced collaboration skills within technical teams to mentor and guide junior engineers
- Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Knowledge of AI/ML frameworks and implementation, as well as background in security best practices, will be a strong advantage
8+ years of strong design/development experience in building massively large-
scale distributed internet systems and products
