Job Summary
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Consulting Software Developer (Oracle Banking / Digital Banking) supports delivery teams in translating complex banking business requirements (with emphasis on Retail Banking and Origination) into well-designed, scalable solutions using Oracle technologies. This role contributes hands-on across design, development, implementation, and support, working closely with Territory/Delivery leadership, project managers, partners, and bank stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes and high customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze business requirements (especially in Retail Banking / Origination) and convert them into solution designs and technical specifications.
- Prepare design analysis and design documents, ensuring clarity, completeness, and alignment with project standards.
- Build and deliver front-end / full-stack components using relevant technologies (e.g., HTML/CSS/JavaScript frameworks, ADF/OJET/Knockout/Node.js).
- Contribute independently to software development and delivery, including unit testing and defect resolution to meet quality targets.
- Support product implementation and post-go-live support, ensuring stability and timely issue remediation.
- Participate in design and code reviews, applying SDLC best practices and maintaining maintainable, secure code.
- Adhere to Oracle internal processes and delivery governance; maintain accurate documentation and status reporting.
- Collaborate effectively with Oracle internal stakeholders, partners, and bank teams to deliver Oracle deliverables on time and to scope.

Qualifications & Skills
Mandatory (Must-have)
- 3 + years hands-on knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and modern UI development practices.
- Working knowledge of CSS frameworks and JavaScript frameworks; exposure to technologies such as ADF / OJET / Knockout.js / Node.js.
- 3+ years of experience with responsive design concepts and implementation.
- Familiarity with development tools/IDEs and front-end build concepts (e.g., preprocessors).
- Understanding of SDLC with experience participating in design/code reviews.
- Experience (or strong exposure) to product implementation and support in enterprise environments.
- Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders (internal teams, partners, and customer/bank teams) and contribute independently.
Good-to-Have (Preferred)
- Web and integration technologies: AJAX, JSON, jQuery.
- Programming and data skills: Java, Python, Ruby, and SQL/database development.
- Tools: Jira, Git; exposure to DevOps practices.
- Methodologies: Agile/Scrum and/or Waterfall delivery experience.
- UI/Design tooling experience: Adobe Creative Suite (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator; Flex/Flash where relevant).
- Prior experience in banking domain solutions (Retail Banking, Origination, Digital Banking) and/or Oracle Banking products (e.g., FLEXCUBE, Digital Banking).
Self-Assessment Questions (Mandatory Skills Fit)
- Have I built production-ready UI components using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and can I explain how I ensured quality (testing, accessibility, maintainability)?
- Can I confidently work with at least one modern JS/CSS framework and learn/operate within ecosystems like ADF/OJET/Knockout/Node.js as required by the project?
- Do I have real experience implementing responsive design and troubleshooting UI behavior across devices/browsers?
- Am I comfortable following a structured SDLC, participating in design/code reviews, and producing clear technical documentation?
- Have I supported or been accountable for aspects of implementation and production support (issue triage, fixes, stakeholder communication) in an enterprise setting?
