The Role
We’re looking for a Staff Backend Engineer to design and scale low-latency, high-throughput trading infrastructure that sits directly in the trade execution path.
You will build systems responsible for order routing, execution, pricing, and trade reconciliation where performance, correctness, and reliability are critical.
You’ll work directly with the CEO, COO, and founding engineers to design the core systems powering our trading platform.
What You’ll Do
- Design and build low-latency backend services for trading execution
- Build systems for order routing, trade execution, pricing engines, and reconciliation
- Optimize infrastructure for high throughput and minimal latency
- Architect fault-tolerant distributed systems handling large trading volumes
- Make architecture decisions with direct production impact
- Operate systems handling real money and real trading activity
Tech Stack
- Node.js
- Python
- MongoDB
- Amazon Web Services (Serverless infrastructure)
- Experience with event-driven systems, streaming pipelines, and distributed systems is highly valuable.
What We’re Looking For
Required
- 8+ years backend engineering experience
- Experience building trading systems, exchanges, brokerage platforms, or market infrastructure
- Experience building low-latency, high-throughput distributed systems
- Strong understanding of performance optimization, concurrency, and system scalability
- Experience working in product companies or trading platforms
- Based in Asia
Preferred
- Experience building matching engines, market data pipelines, or order routing systems
- Experience in crypto exchanges or trading platforms
- Familiarity with blockchain or Web3 systems
