Title: Staff Accountant
Compensation: Up to $80K – plus benefits, commensurate with experience
Location: Onsite – Southeast of Boston

Position Description:
Primarily responsible for the accounting operations of the company, to include month-end reporting, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, maintain cash accounts and reconciliations, manage as well as prepare payroll on a weekly basis.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and enforce accounting policies and procedures while ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal reporting and tax requirements.
- Manage month-end close activities, including account reconciliations, journal entries, and reporting for fixed assets, prepaid expenses, deferred revenue, payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and credit card activity.
- Oversee cash management functions, including daily bank reconciliations, weekly check runs, ACH/wire payments, and online store transaction reconciliation.
- Administer accounts payable processes, including vendor invoice processing, purchase order matching, variance resolution, W-9 collection, and annual 1099 reporting.
- Manage payroll and employee-related accounting functions, including weekly payroll processing, PTO administration, reimbursements, deductions, retirement contributions, and time-off tracking/reporting.
- Lead accounts receivable activities, including customer account reconciliations, collections, credit memo management, invoicing support, and sales tax/reseller certificate administration.
- Prepare and analyze financial and operational reports, including vendor spend, scrap reporting, marketing spend versus budget, and other management reporting needs.
- Support audits, cross-functional administrative operations, and special projects while serving as a backup resource for administrative functions as needed.
Qualifications:
- 2 to 3 years of accounting experience preferred, new graduates will be considered
- Microsoft Office proficiency a must
- ERP/MRP experience highly desired
- Cost accounting experience a plus
- Experience in Manufacturing sector a plus
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations while maintaining a positive attitude
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills
- Strong Organizational skills
Education & Certifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting, or business administration, or equivalent business experience
