Role Description
This is a full-time remote opportunity to work directly with a U.S. CPA firm and gain exposure to U.S. accounting, tax preparation, financial reporting, and international clients. The Staff Accountant will handle bookkeeping, manage payroll, prepare tax filings, assist in audits, prepare financial statements, and support business advisory projects. Responsibilities also include collaborating with team members to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance with regulations, and providing insights to support sound financial decision-making.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Finance / Commerce
- Proficiency in Accounting, Bookkeeping, and Payroll Management
- CA / CPA / Inter CA / equivalent certification preferred
- Experience in Tax Preparation, Tax Consulting, and IRS Representation
- Strong skills in Audit, Assurance, and Forensic Accounting
- Knowledge of Financial Statement Preparation and Business Advisory Services
- Familiarity with International Tax and Real Estate Tax Services (preferred)
- Detail-oriented with excellent analytical, time management, and organizational skills
- Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
- CPA certification or equivalent qualification (preferred)
- Experience with QuickBooks (preferred)
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- U.S. accounting or CPA firm experience
- U.S.–India tax matters
- Cross-border taxation or NRI taxation
- International accounting and reporting compliance
