Core Responsibilities
1. Develop and Lead Adult Volunteers
• Recruit, train, and mentor small group leaders
• Provide consistent support and formation for volunteers
• Build a culture of accountability, trust, and growth
2. Oversee Weekly Youth Ministry
• Coordinate weekly gatherings of small groups (organized by grade)
• Ensure each gathering includes teaching, discussion, and prayer
• Foster an environment of belonging, reverence, and engagement
3. Provide Formation and Teaching
• Teach or coordinate teaching on key areas of the Catholic faith
• Equip leaders to facilitate meaningful conversations
• Help teens grow in prayer and understanding of their faith
4. Engage Parents and Families
• Maintain clear and consistent communication with parents
• Support families in the faith formation of their teens
5. Coordinate Key Events
• Monthly gathering for middle school students
• Monthly gathering for high school students
• Summer schedule of bimonthly middle school gatherings
• Summer schedule of bimonthly high school gatherings
• Annual retreat or conference
• Occasional service opportunities - likely jumping into the Works of Mercy with the parish
Qualifications
• Practicing Catholic in good standing
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
• Ability to recruit, train, and support volunteers
• Effective communication and organizational abilities
• Willingness to work evenings and occasional weekends Preferred:
• Experience in ministry, education, counseling, or leadership development
Schedule Expectations
• Regular weekday office hours (flexible)
• Weekly evening gatherings
• Occasional weekend involvement for events or parish life
