POSITION TITLE: SCHOOL SUPPORT
|
GENERAL PURPOSE
The purpose of this position is to perform semi-routine and non-routine clerical tasks in support of overall parish and school operations. Provides friendly customer service to all visitors.
REPORTING HIERARCHY
The incumbent in this position reports to the Business Manager of Saint John the Baptist Catholic Church.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.
Welcomes and provides assistance to visitors of the parish office, provides information regarding a wide-variety of parish and school related topics.
Performs various administrative tasks for the parish, with particular assistance to the business manager for school financial support. Gives timely communication to parishioners and school families to assist with billing and financial needs. Works in close collaboration with the business manager and principal to meet deadlines for billing, grants, school choice, SGO, and other related items
Assists with calls from parishioners to the parish office.
Assists with the administration of the parish cemetery and its related needs and records.
Operates office equipment and technology. Responds to diocesan offices, as needed.

Performs related duties as required, necessary, or assigned.
ADA COMPLIANCE
Physical Ability: Tasks require the ability to exert light physical effort in sedentary to light work, but which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and / or pulling of objects and materials of light weight (5-10 pounds). Tasks may involve periods of time at a keyboard or workstation.
Sensory Requirements: Some tasks require the ability to perceive and discriminate visual cues or signals. Most tasks require the ability to communicate orally.
Environmental Factors: Essential functions are regularly performed without exposure to adverse environmental conditions
