This full-time Resource Teacher position at St. Anthony de Padua offers a unique and impactful opportunity for a compassionate, skilled educator to serve as a vital support system for students with diverse learning needs within a collaborative Catholic school environment. Working closely with the LEA, classroom teachers, administrators, and families, the Resource Teacher will oversee the implementation and ongoing monitoring of student Individualized Service Plans, Catholic Accommodation Plans, and Individual Learning Plans, delivering both small group pull-out instruction and classroom push-in services to students receiving special education and English Language Learner support. The role encompasses a broad range of responsibilities, including consulting with South Bend Community Schools on student ISPs, attending annual case conferences, administering WIDA screeners and ACCESS testing, providing targeted math and reading interventions, assisting with dyslexia screening, and coordinating with paraprofessionals to ensure every student's plan is fully implemented and consistently communicated to all relevant staff. The ideal candidate holds a teaching license in special education and/or an ENL endorsement, is proficient in Google Suite, and brings strong organizational, communication, and collaborative skills to the role. Requirements
Resource Teacher - Full Time
The Resource Teacher at St Anthony de Padua works collaboratively with the LEA and school personnel to ensure the implementation of student plans and monitor individual success. They provide direct services to students receiving special education and ENL support via small group pull-out instruction and classroom push-in. In partnership with families and classroom teachers, they write and update students' Catholic Accommodation Plans and ILPs outlining support to ensure student growth.
In addition to the “Essential Duties of the Teacher”, duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Special Education Services

Consult with LEA (South Bend Community Schools) on student ISPs

Attend annual case conferences

Collect and communicate data on student’s progress toward individualized goals

Work with classroom teachers to ensure service plans are being met (modify assignments, provide visual supports, administer testing accommodations, etc)

Deliver modified instruction and direct services to students via small group pull-outs and push-in

Staff the resource room to provide students with breaks, testing accommodations, etc.

Gather and submit paperwork for students to be evaluated for special education services

Work with the assistant principal to schedule paraprofessionals

Ensure student plans are updated and distributed to all necessary staff
English Language Learners

Additional Student Supports

Gather documentation for, write and update Catholic Accommodation Plans
