Director of Human Resources
Job Description / Responsibilities: The Director of Human Resources is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing all operations in HR and with district staff in a confidential and professional manner in order to enhance the overall efficiency of the district.
Human Resources:
- Promote a supportive and service-oriented culture throughout the district.
- Work with the administrative team to attract and retain high-quality staff.
- Coordinate the interview process for all staff.
- Maintain an efficient process for onboarding and exiting all district employees.
- Oversee payroll process to ensure accuracy.
- Manage employee benefits, leave of absence tracking, verification of employment, final salary affidavits, workers’ compensation, criminal background checks, teacher certification, and personnel files.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees.
- Oversee and resolve complex employee relations issues; conduct effective, thorough investigations as needed.
- Actively participate in contract negotiations.
- Prepare and submit reports including REP, ACA, CRDC and others, as required.
- Serve as the district’s Compliance Officer/Title IX Coordinator in collaboration with the Director of Special Education.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree required (Human Resources or related field preferred)
Beginning Date: May 26, 2026
Salary: Commensurate with experience
Work Days: 260
Reports To: Chief Financial Officer
