First Coast Technical College is seeking a qualified Program Director/Instructor for the Surgical Technology program. This position is responsible for providing leadership, instruction, and oversight of the program to ensure alignment with accreditation standards, industry expectations, and student success outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
Program Leadership & Administration
Provide leadership and oversight of the Surgical Technology program
Ensure compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards
Support program planning, evaluation, and continuous improvement
Instruction & Curriculum
Deliver instruction in classroom, lab, and simulation settings
Support implementation of curriculum aligned to state frameworks and industry standards
Student Success
Monitor student progress and performance
Support student preparation for certification and employment
Program Evaluation
Participate in evaluation of student learning outcomes and program effectiveness
Maintain accurate records and documentation
Collaboration
Work with clinical partners, advisory committees, and college leadership
Support recruitment and program outreach efforts

Minimum Qualifications
The Program Director/Instructional Staff must:
Possess a minimum of an Associate Degree; and
Have documented education or experience in instructional methodology, curriculum design and program planning; and
Possess knowledge of the curriculum; and
Possess knowledge about the program�s evaluation of student learning and performance.
Be a graduate of an education program in surgical technology accredited by a nationally recognized programmatic accreditation agency; and
Possess a credential in the field of surgical technology through a national certification program that is accredited by the National Commission on Certifying Agencies (NCCA); and
Have a minimum total of five years of experience, either in the operating room scrub role or as an instructor in surgical technology, or a combination of both, within the past five years.

Clinical Coordination
Coordinate clinical placements and maintain relationships with clinical partners
Monitor student progress in clinical settings
Instruction & Support
Deliver instruction in classroom, lab, and/or clinical environments
Evaluate student performance and provide feedback
Program Support
Assist with program evaluation and documentation
Ensure alignment between clinical experiences and curriculum
Compliance
Support adherence to accreditation and program requirements

Minimum Qualifications
The Clinical Coordinator/Instructional Staff must:
