Comments to applicant: First Coast Technical College is seeking an experienced, student-centered instructor to teach in the Industrial Machinery Maintenance program. The instructor will deliver high-quality, hands-on instruction aligned with the Florida Department of Education curriculum frameworks to prepare students for employment and industry certification in the field of industrial machinery and plant maintenance.
Minimum Qualifications (A) Associate�s degree or higher in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technology, or a closely related field; or (B) A minimum of three (3) years of full-time, verifiable occupational experience in industrial machinery maintenance, industrial mechanics, millwright, or related manufacturing/plant maintenance occupations. � � Possess or be eligible for Florida Department of Education certification in the appropriate career and technical education area (District-issued or State CTE certificate). � Must pass a Level II background screening and fingerprint clearance in accordance with Florida statutes.
Preferred Qualifications � Industry-recognized certifications such as: o PLC programming (Allen-Bradley/Rockwell, Siemens) o Hydraulics and pneumatics o Motor controls or industrial electrical systems o OSHA 10/30, Lockout/Tagout, or NFPA 70E safety training
� Teaching or training experience in a technical, vocational, or industrial setting. � Demonstrated ability to develop curriculum aligned with FDOE CTE frameworks and industry standards. � Strong communication, organization, and mentoring skills to support adult learners in hands-on, competency-based instruction. � Experience collaborating with industry partners and advisory committees.
