Job Description
The Assistant Manager for General Trade in the role of Area Sales Officer is pivotal in driving sales and expanding new territories. This position requires a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of sales management and market intelligence. The role involves developing and implementing effective sales strategies to ensure growth in the assigned area, aligning with the company's objectives. The candidate will manage daily operations within the sales department, ensuring efficient processes and high performance. Monitoring and analyzing performance metrics is crucial, with a focus on suggesting improvements to enhance sales effectiveness. The role demands preparation of accurate sales forecasts and staying updated with new product launches to ensure the sales team is well-informed. Building and maintaining strong customer relationships is essential, as is negotiating and closing agreements with large customers. The candidate will also monitor competition and provide insights to maintain a competitive edge, while fostering a positive team environment.
Principal Accountabilities
Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive sales growth in the assigned area ensuring alignment with company objectivesbr Manage and oversee the daily operations of the sales department ensuring efficient processes and high performancebr Monitor and analyze performance metrics suggesting improvements to enhance sales effectiveness and efficiencybr Prepare monthly quarterly and annual sales forecasts ensuring accuracy and alignment with business goalsbr Stay uptodate with new product launches ensuring the sales team is informed and prepared to promote these products effectivelybr Build and maintain strong longlasting customer relationships ensuring customer satisfaction and loyaltybr Negotiate and close agreements with large customers ensuring mutually beneficial terms and conditionsbr Monitor competition within the assigned region providing insights and strategies to maintain a competitive edgebr Prepare and deliver regular sales reports to senior management providing insights and recommendations for improvementbr Provide guidance and insight to the sales team fostering an environment of continuous learning and improvementbr Ensure the sales team is driving towards achieving company objectives and goals maintaining high motivation and performancebr Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure the companys brand is effectively represented in the marketbr Handle any escalated customer service issues ensuring prompt and effective resolutionbr Foster a wellfunctioning and positive team environment promoting collaboration and excellence
