Summary: This specialized role requires a Java expert who thrives on complex enterprise integrations. You will be the primary authority on connecting our Java applications to SAP landscapes using the SAP Java Connector (JCo).
Key Responsibilities
- Middleware Implementation: Develop and maintain the interface layer using SAP JCo for seamless integration with SAP ERP modules.
- Interface Logic: Manage RFC (Remote Function Call) and BAPI calls, ensuring efficient data exchange and transactional integrity.
- System Troubleshooting: Debug complex integration issues across the middleware layer and SAP application servers.
- Security & Optimization: Implement secure connection pooling, handle stateful/stateless communication, and optimize data mapping between SAP and Java.
Technical Requirements
- 6+ years of total experience in Java development, with at least 3+ years of dedicated experience with SAP JCo.
- Deep knowledge of SAP BAPI, RFC, and IDocs.
- Familiarity with SAP ABAP (ability to read/understand code) is a significant plus.
- Experience handling complex SAP data structures and converting them into standard JSON/Java objects.
- Expertise in managing SAP connection properties and performance tuning of the JCo library.
