About the role

In this role you will be the first point of contact for all reactive maintenance works. Reactive requests will be recorded on SRUC systems such as (Shared Services Help Desk, Ask SID or PIRANA). Line managed by the Compliance Officer (CO), you will be expected to use industry standards and practical hands-on knowledge to ensure that maintenance work is completed to all relevant standards. Using your experience and knowledge to prioritise work in the most cost-effective way, you will resolve maintenance issues either directly or by engaging and coordinating the right contractor/s through the Measured Term Contract (MTC). You will manage the reactive elements of the (MTC) contract within your area of responsibility, this includes working closely with the (CO), colleagues and customers in SRUC to arrange suitable time for work to be completed, monitoring the work through to completion and reviewing the quality and effectiveness of any work carried out before signing off. You will co-ordinate the delivery of all day-to-day site-based reactive maintenance activities and engage any contractors working on behalf of SRUC. You will also ensure all physical assets are operational and meet legislative compliance. You may also carry out planned maintenance, routine service checks and reactive works to buildings, plant, equipment, and systems in accordance with agreed service levels and respond to site engineering and building fabric emergencies. Where appropriate you may undertake and/or manage small installation works, repairs to building fabric and carry out planned maintenance tasks, engaging contractor/s as necessary and assist with internal moves and changes.
