Senior GCP DevOps / Cloud Platform Engineer
Experience
8+ Years of IT Experience, with strong hands-on experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Terraform, DevOps, cloud infrastructure, and automation.
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior GCP DevOps / Cloud Platform Engineer to design, provision, automate, and support enterprise cloud infrastructure primarily on Google Cloud Platform, with additional exposure to AWS.
The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on expertise in GCP infrastructure services, Terraform Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD, Jenkins, Git/GitHub, Kubernetes/GKE, Ansible, Linux, and cloud networking. The role will focus on building secure, scalable, highly available cloud environments and automating infrastructure provisioning and application delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, provision, configure, and manage enterprise infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Manage GCP services including Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, BigQuery, Cloud DNS, Cloud Monitoring and Cloud Logging.
- Design and administer GCP networking including VPC, Shared VPC, VPC Peering, VPN, firewall rules, load balancing, NAT, and private connectivity.
- Configure and manage IAM roles, service accounts, permissions, and access controls following least-privilege principles.
- Develop and maintain reusable Terraform modules for automated provisioning and management of cloud infrastructure.
- Manage Terraform configurations, variables, state, dependencies, and environment-specific deployments.
- Build, maintain, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Git and GitHub.
- Deploy and manage containerized workloads using Docker, Kubernetes, and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).
- Use Ansible and scripting to automate infrastructure configuration and routine operational activities.
- Perform automation using Bash/Shell scripting and support infrastructure administration across Linux environments.
- Configure and manage autoscaling, load balancing, images, snapshots, machine images, instance templates, and managed instance groups.
- Implement cloud monitoring, logging, alerting, troubleshooting, and operational support.
- Support highly available and scalable production and non-production cloud environments.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure, networking, deployment, access, and performance-related issues.
- Work with application, security, networking, and development teams to support cloud deployments.
- Participate in incident, change, release, and problem management activities.
- Maintain technical documentation, infrastructure standards, operational procedures, and deployment processes.
- Work within Agile delivery methodologies using tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Support cloud security, governance, cost optimization, reliability, and operational best practices.

- Experience managing both GCP and AWS infrastructure through Terraform.
- Experience with Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub and BigQuery.
- Experience with PostgreSQL/Cloud SQL.
- Understanding of cloud security, IAM and networking best practices.
- Experience supporting production environments and troubleshooting cloud infrastructure.
- Knowledge of Google Workspace/G-Suite administration.
- Exposure to Windows Server and VMware environments.
