About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior V&V Engineer with deep hands-on experience in DAL A and B software lifecycles to join our core aerospace engineering team. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the reliability, safety, and certification of embedded software powering next-generation, safety-critical avionics systems—including aircraft smoke detection systems and communication interfaces.
You will own the end-to-end verification lifecycle, driving rigorous testing methodologies from high-level requirements down to target microcontroller object code, ensuring absolute alignment with DO-178B/C standards for the highest levels of safety criticality.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive verification and validation activities tailored specifically for high-criticality DAL A and B avionics software.
- Design, develop, and execute Unit and Integration testing on both host and target microcontrollers.
- Perform comprehensive code coverage analysis, including Statement, Functional & Function Call coverage, and Data Coupling / Control Coupling analysis.
- Achieve and verify MC/DC (Modified Condition/Decision Coverage) and conduct Object Code Coverage required for Level A/B compliance.
- Leverage hands-on expertise in MATLAB / Simulink for model validation and testing lifecycle activities.
- Conduct code quality audits using automated tools to enforce MISRA compliance and ensure robust software architecture.
- Maintain strict bi-directional traceability between requirements, design, code, and test cases to support flawless DO-178B/C certification audits.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Aerospace Compliance: Deep, practical working knowledge of the DO-178B/C software lifecycle and hands-on experience working on DAL A and B projects.
- V&V Toolchains: Hands-on experience with automated verification environments. Deep expertise in RTRT (Rational Test RealTime) is highly preferred, but strong proficiency in LDRA or VectorCAST is equally acceptable.
- Model-Based Design: Hands-on experience with SCADE or MATLAB / Simulink environments for verification workflows.
- Coding Standards: Strong understanding of embedded C/C++ programming and automated Static Analysis for MISRA compliance.
Education:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in aerospace, Electronics & Communication, Electrical, Computer Science Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
